Bitter Water

Exodus 15:23 23 When they came to Marah, they could not drink its water because it was bitter. (That is why the place is called Marah.) (NIV)

God led the Hebrews to the bitter water for a reason.  The waters had the same elements as the drink we must take before a colon ostomy to purge our system.  God wanted to purge the systems of the Hebrews from the Egyptian diet they’ve eaten over the years.  But the people rebelled so the Egyptian diet along with other not so good things of Egypt stayed with them for quite a while.  Sometimes God leads us through things that are bitter.  There is always a reason.  Instead of complaining we should ask Him to reveal the purpose, learn what we need to learn and walk through the bitterness with thanksgiving that God loves us enough to want His best for us.  To have His best we must have the things that separate us from Him purged from our hearts and minds.  Let us not have complaints on our lips nor in our hearts and minds.  Let’s remember nothing can touch us without first passing through our Father’s hand and praise Him as we walk He ha prepared for us.
