Make Time

Matthew 6:26 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? (NIV)

I had some free time yesterday and was sitting on the porch watching the birds.  They were flitting from tree branch to tree branch and singing the unique song God had given each one.  Though they were alert to danger, they were content doing what God created them to do.  They seemed to do it so naturally.  It mead me thing about me and other humans.  We tend to forget what God intended us to do.  He created us for fellowship.  Fellowship with Him and fellowship with one another.  Fellowship is our main business, yet we always seem to busy.  It seems we want to be too busy.  We mistakenly think our worth is tied to how much we get done rather than our relationship with God and each other.  Our priorities get out of order so easily.  What do we do about this?  We learn to start our day with fellowship and worship with and of God.  We ask Him to help us keep our priorities straight.  We think twice before we tell someone we’re too busy to be or talk to them right now.  We choose to make time.  Let us make time for God and for each other.
