Soar Like Eagles

Isaiah 40:31 31 but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.  They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. (NIV)

Eagles are fascinating birds.  They have been spotted soaring as high as 20 thousand feet.  They can do this because they find the up-air currents and hold their wings out letting the air currents lift and keep them up.  This is what putting our trust in God does for us.  When we put our trust in God, we can soar through our trials, resting on the currents of the Holy Spirit and the power of God’s Word.  As we rest on God’s Word our strength is renewed.  When we run to God and His Word we are refreshed and will not grow weary.  When we walk firm, standing firm on God’s promises, we will not faint.  We must know the written Word of God so we can stand firm on it through all circumstances and soar as the eagles soar through the sky.

An extra fact:  Eagles can also see 50 miles.  We can’t do this without the aid of high powered telescopes.  But God’s vision is limitless.  If we ask Him, He’ll enable us to see what we need to see.
