It doesn’t matter how much we read, study, memorize or meditate on the Word of God.  If we don’t follow through and do what it says we have nothing.  Follow through takes decision and discipline.  I’ve spent time teaching my grandchildren that a job isn’t finished unless all tools are put away.  Reading, studying, memorizing and meditating on the Word of God isn’t finished unless we follow through with what we read and obey its instructions.  I’ve called the Bible, the “Manufacturer’s Handbook.”  I must admit, I seldom read the instructions that come with various electronics or appliances.  Many times I find reading those instructions would have saved me time and stress.  It is the same with our lives.  When we don’t read and following the instructions God so generously provided for us we find the fruits of His Holy Spirit within us don’t grow.  We are spiritually stunted.  This leads to stress and a lack of peace.  Let us choose to follow through.  God never tells us to do something He doesn’t give us the ability to do. We only need to choose obedience.
