Luke 10:20 20 However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.” (NIV)

People are striving to be known.  They want to feel important.  The seek to have a title.  The seek to have their names and/or faces in the news.  The want to know their name will be known on this earth after they are gone.  There is one place we should be sure we want our name recorded.  This is in the Lamb’s Book of Life.  Without our name recorded in that book we will spend eternity in the presence of Satan rather than in the presence of God.  How do we get our name recorded in that book?  We accept Jesus Christ, the Word of God in flesh, God’s only begotten Son, into our minds, hearts and lives as our Lord and Savior and choose to walk in obedience to Him.  What do we want most to be remembered for?  I want to remembered for how many people I introduced Jesus to and prayed with them to become adopted children of God.  Everything else will pass away.  Let’s be sure our priorities are eternal.
