14 For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. 15 The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” 16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. 17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.
Present Suffering and Future Glory

When we are young children life is about us and others doing for us and giving to us.  As we become adults we take on responsibilities, both for our own self and for helping others.  It is the same as we grow in the Lord.  When we first meet Jesus it’s what He has done and does do for us.  But we are joint heirs with Him.  This means we share in the responsibility of working for the Kingdome of God.  It is no longer about give me or do for me but use me for Your glory, God in any way You please.  This is only possible through our yielding to the Holy Spirit.  We must pay attention to our prayers.  Are we always praying for ourselves, God I need this or please do this for me?  He already knows what we need.  It’s okay to ask for things for ourselves but that should be a small percentage of our prayers.  We are co-heirs with Jesus which means w must share not only in sufferings but in His love and desire for all to come to know His love in a personal way.  Let’s be about our Father’s business.
