Psalms 119:11 11 I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. (NIV)

Every word in the Bible is applicable to everyone.  Since Jesus quoted the written word of the scriptures to defeat Satan, how very much more we need to do the same.  But, when we face temptation or choices of action, if we don’t have the written word of God deep in our hearts and minds, we are at a loss.  Our day of depending on electronics has weakened our desire to memorize, meditate and get things deep in our mind and hearts.  We have become mentally lazy thinking we can always do an internet search for anything we need. We all need to realize how soft and lazy we have gotten and make a commitment to God to study and show ourselves approved unto God.  Yes, He loves us no matter how lazy we might be.  But love is a 2-way action.  If we really receive God’s love, we will love Him back through our commitment and obedience.  It’s hard to be honest with ourselves.  God knows what’s in our hearts and minds so our honesty will not surprise Him.  Let us choose to be diligent to His Word that we may walk in it with Him showing His light through our words and actions to all around us.
