Living is Growing

2 Peter 3:18 18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen. (NIV)

Living things (including people) must either grow or die.  To be living you can’t be stagnant.  We’ve all notice how a tree seed managed to get established in the cracks of a rock on the side of a mountain.  It sank its roots deep in the crack and reached, growing toward the sun.  God’s love is the seed.  It’s planted deep in us.  The written word, the Holly Bible, are the cracks for our roots to grow down deep.  Jesus is the light we are to reach for.  The Holy Spirit waters us and nourishes our roots, enabling us to grow, anchored deeply in the written word and looking up to Jesus, the light of the world.  We must check to see I our roots are centered deeply in the Bible, if we are looking to Jesus and if we are allowing His Holy Spirit to water an nourish us.
