Genesis 18:23 23 Then Abraham approached him and said: “Will you sweep away the righteous with the wicked? (NIV)

When we listen to the news or look around us in the United States as well as many other countries we see a play back of Sodom and Gomorrah.  I do hope all readers will turn to this passage in the scripture and read the entire account.  No matter how familiar we are with the event, it is important to read over again and let God interpret it in relationship to today.  After we do this, I hope it will stress the dire importance of praying on behalf of the nation in which we live.  The sins of Sodom and Gomorrah are running rampant in our nation.  We Christians have kept our mouths shut too long and have sat back and watch Satan and his cohorts ride with free reign.  It is past time for us to get serious with our prayers.  We have the power through the Holy Spirit to pray against sin become the law of the land.  We have the power through the Holy Spirit and our prayers to bring the laws of God back to our nation.  What we are lacking is the fortitude to follow through.  Let us not lose our nation to sin.  Let us stand up after getting on our knees to God and let our prayers move mountains.
