Joshua 1:8-9 8 Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go  (NIV)

There is a lot of fear in this day and age.  Fear of home invasions, drive by shootings, road rage, robbery, infectious diseases, terrorism and on and on.  Fear is an uneasy feeling.  We may know what is making us fearful or we might suddenly be fearful without knowing what caused it.  God doesn’t want us living in fear.  He has given us the spirit of power, love and a sound mind.  When we find fear entering we need to focus on God.  He may want us to leave a certain situation.  He may want us to face a fearful situation head on.  Whatever way He wants us to walk, He has promised to be with us through all things at all times.  Even when our situation is because of disobedience to God, He will see us through when we turn and listen and choose to become obedient to His guidance.  Difficult tasks take courage.  Courage takes faith.  Faith must be walked out in obedience.  If you’re facing a difficult circumstance now, get on your knees, open the Holy Bible, present it to God and listen for His instructions.  He is faithful and will never fail or leave us.
