1 Corinthians 14:26-27 26 What then shall we say, brothers and sisters? When you come together, each of you has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. Everything must be done so that the church may be built up. (NIV)

I love Sundays.  That’s when we have an opportunity to come together with other believers.  How we do it has a lot to do with the size of the group we come together with.  In a very large church it is different than in a small one.  It might be hard to feel a personal connection with others in a very large church.  It might be hard to feel we, as individuals, really have a part in the coming together.  But each person, regardless of how many are gathered together, is a very important and integral part of the worship.  We add our voice to the music and the songs of praise ascend to the ears of God.  We pray, agreeing with the spoken prayers of the leaders and, our own prayers throughout the service.  So often the worship leaders present music we cannot participate in vocally.  But we can participate in spirit, listening and agreeing and letting their songs of worship enter our spirits, joining them in spirit and worshiping God through our agreement in the spirit.  When we gather together, let us be fully present in our worship and praise of God.  Let us prepare ahead of time and ask the Holy Spirit to guard our minds and keep us centered on God and why we are there.  Let us fully worship in voice, heart, mind and spirit along with our fellow believers.
