Draw Near 3

Hebrews 10:22 22 let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water (NIV)

Draw near to God ith the full assurance.  What do we need full assurance about?  We need the assurance that God will allow sinners like us draw near to Him.  Jesus provided the way for us to draw near to the Father.  The Holy Spirit within us confirms (gives us the assurance) we can draw near to God.  We must learn to turn our backs on the sins of our past (our separation from God) and, laying regrets and unforgiveness aside, move on with the freedom of being forgiven for all our sins and fully adopted into the family of God as joint heirs with His Son, Jesus.  This gives us all the privileges and also the responsibilities that go with being part of the family.  Guilt and regrets are gone as we stay near our Father and are replaced with joy in our cleansing with the purest water ever, the precious shed blood of Jesus.  What joy it is to stay near to God.
