John 2:28-29 28 And now, dear children, continue in him, so that when he appears we may be confident and unashamed before him at his coming.29 If you know that he is righteous, you know that everyone who does what is right has been born of him. (NIV)

I think about this a good bit.  I so much want the Father to say He’s pleased with what I did and said on this earth.  I want to be confident and unashamed before Him.  This takes a very honest look at my words and actions.  I know I won’t ever be perfect until Jesus returns, but I also know I need to take stock and be quick to confess and ask forgiveness every time I slip up.  Our primary purpose is to fellowship with God.  Through that fellowship we are to share His love with others.  In sharing His love with and for others, we are to tell and show them His love.  I don’t want anyone standing at the judgment seat of God, pointing their finger at me saying I didn’t tell them or show them how much Jesus loves them and died for their sins.  I am learning to begin every day with the request to the Holy Spirit to help me be bold and to be aware when a door is open for me to speak or act.  I pray I am never ashamed of being a believer and follower of Jesus and am always confident in speaking of Him and acting with Him.
