Luke 9:62 62 Jesus replied, “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.” (NIV)

One of the biggest reasons for failure is looking back.  When we look back at past failures we lose confidence and eventually quit trying.  This is important in our witnessing to others.  Just because we witnessed to someone in the past and they became upset, angry or any other thing other than to accept doesn’t mean we should ever stop witnessing.  It might encourage us to more training in how to share with others but it should never stop us from trying.  I had a choir director in college who said sing out loud enough to hear because then you can hear any misstates.  If you can’t hear a mistake, you can’t correct it.  When things we try don’t go the way we hoped they would, instead of becoming “gun shy,” we should look at the situation and understand why it went the way it did.  Mistakes from the past are not for us to continually look back on, they are to learn from and help us push on toward our goal.  Let’s keep moving forward in our walk with God and our sharing His kingdom with others.
