Tooting Horns

Hebrews 10:24-25 24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching (NIV)

Most of us have a hard time really rejoicing and encouraging others in their victories.  We are continually comparing ourselves, what we do and how well we do it with others.  We forget we are each unique in how God created us and how He wants to flow through us.  Accepting our uniqueness along with the uniqueness of others should make it easier to really get behind in our encouraging others to excel in their ministry without any comparison of ours.  We all need encouragement.  I have one reader who Is consistently quick to put a like on each and every devotion.  This is an encouragement to continue to share.  Though sharing is not my purpose and I will continue to write whether I share or not, it is nice to feel they are appreciated by someone else.  Let us take this scripture to heart.  Let us encourage others in their ministry and rejoice with them in their victories without feeling we need to toot our own horns at the same time.  Let’s let other toot our horns as we toot theirs.
