Covenant Fulfilled

Genesis 17:19 19 Then God said, “Yes, but your wife Sarah will bear you a son, and you will call him Isaac. I will establish my covenant with him as an everlasting covenant for his descendants after him. (NIV)

Luke 3:34 34 the son of Jacob, the son of Isaac, the son of Abraham, the son of Terah, the son of Nahor, (NIV)

The only everlasting covenant with God is the covenant of the blood of Jesus.  He shed His blood for he one-time redemption of all of mankind’s sins.  No more sacrifice will ever be needed.  The Jewish temple is no longer and sacrifices are no longer needed.  Jesus paid it all.  There is nothing more to be done other than for us to accept Jesus into our hearts, minds and lives, accepting all He has done for us and walking with Him while we are on this earth in or physical bodies.  No church membership, good deeds or giving of money will do it.  It is only through Jesus, the Word of God made flesh, that we can approach God.  Isaac was the promised son of Abraham and Sarah.  But Isaac wasn’t the fulfillment of God’s promise.  His promise is now fulfilled through Jesus.  Share the good news with someone today.
