Isaiah 53:7 7 He was oppressed and afflicted, yet He did not open His mouth.  Like a lamb led to the slaughter and like a sheep silent before her shearers,  He did not open His mouth. (NIV)

Mark 15:4-5 4 Then Pilate questioned Him again, “Are You not answering anything? Look how many things they are accusing You of!” 5 But Jesus still did not answer anything, so Pilate was amazed. (NIV)

Jesus kept His mouth shut as an answer to false accusations.  We have a hard time being silent.  We want to put our “2 cents” in on everything.  We even add to things we don’t really know anything about.  There are times to speak up but there are also times to be silent.  We don’t need to prove to others we have all the answers.  We don’t have all the answers.  When we look to and listen to God, we will know when it’s time to speak and when it’s time to keep silent.  God gave us 2 ears and 1 mouth for a reason.  Let us be sure we listen twice as much as we speak.
