Hated

Psalms 35:19 19 Do not let my deceitful enemies rejoice over me; do not let those who hate me without cause look at me maliciously. (NIV)

John 15:24 24 If I had not done the works among them that no one else has done, they would not have sin. Now they have seen and hated both Me and My Father. (NIV)

The religious leaders were very deceitful in their jealous hatred of Jesus.  The fabricated lies in an effort to make themselves appear good and Jesus to appear evil.  Those of us who choose to walk with God are often lied about and even treated maliciously.  We see attacks on Christians worshiping in their churches.  Our question is will we let fear of rejection and false accusations keep us silent or will we be bold in our love for God and stand firm on His Word and with His Son, Jesus?  Let us agree with Paul when he wrote, (Philippians 1:21 NIV)  For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.  Death isn’t limited to physical death.  Death can be in relationships, jobs, emotions are any other part of our lives and being.  Let us live for Christ for He is the One we want to please.
