Isaiah 53:12 12 Therefore I will give Him the many as a portion, and He will receive the mighty as spoil,
because He submitted Himself to death, and was counted among the rebels; yet He bore the sin of many
and interceded for the rebels. (NIV)

Mark 15:27 27 They crucified two criminals with Him, one on His right and one on His left. (NIV)

Jesus was placed between2 thieves.  He hung between 2 sinners.  Jesus is between our sin and God.  God will not stand in the presence of sin so Jesus took on the burden of our sin so we could be in the presence of God.  One of the thieves asked for mercy and Jesus said he would be in the presence of God that day.  The other thief taunted Jesus.  We are also thieves.  We have tried to take glory for ourselves.  We have taken from God judgement to be our right to judge others.  There are so many things we have tried to take away from God and give to ourselves.  We still have the choice of choosing Jesus, the only One Who can bring us into the presence of God, or we can deny Him.  God, the Creator of all that was, is or will be said Jesus is the only way into His Presence.  Let us accept His forgiveness through His Son and live in a state of unforgiveness of ourselves and of others.
