James 1:2 2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, (NIV)

Let us recount the story of Joseph.  He was sold by his brothers into slavery in Egypt; falsely accused by his master’s wife and even thrown into prison.  Yet, after all this, he was second in command in Egypt and saved his nation, Isreal, from famine.  The harsh trials prepared him for the good, not only for him but for thousands of others.  Think about Moses.  He was saved from infant death, raised by the Pharaoh’s daughter, had to flee Egypt, only to deliver an entire nation from slavery and lead them to the promised land.  When we go through various trials we don’t understand why we must endure them at the time.  Looking back on some of the trials I have endured, I wouldn’t give up any of them for where they have brought me.  I don’t want to repeat them but will welcome any that continue to come my way for I know the all serve to increase my faith and make me more pliable for God to use me in helping others.  Let us welcome our trials without complaint and seek God for what lessons we are to learn for the good and His glory.
