Psalms 47:1 1 Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy. (NIV)

Many of us were raised (and many still are) in churches where we are taught to be quiet and sedate during worship.  This is a direct contradiction of God’s word.  We are free to shout at ball games.  We really get into it and route for our team.  Why don’t we really get into worship and really route for Jesus.  If HE was actually standing physically in front of the church would we not shout for joy?  Well, He is in our churches when we gather together for worship.  Let’s brake the bondage of quiet and sedate, though there are times for that, and really get into our worship showing God and others we really love Him, we really rejoice in Him and we really want the world to know His joy, His love and His peace.  I now it’s hard for many of us to beak the bonds of the past.  Sometimes I still slip back.  Start with clapping your hands.  Then try raising your hands.  This is a sign of complete surrender and openness to all God has for you.  Isaiah 55:12 12 You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.  (NIV)
