Worship Together

Luke 4:16 16 He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. He stood up to read, (NIV)

I’ve heard many a professing Christian say they don’t go to church.  They don’t need to be with others to worship or to study the Bible.  Reread the above verse.  Notice the phrase “as was His custom.”  Jesus is the Son of God, yet He made at a practice a custom, to go to church to worship His Father with others.  If He felt the need to do this, how much more should we be doing this.  We can worship alone.  We can study the Word alone.  But, joining our hearts and voices with others not only pleases God, it also helps to ignite a fresh vigor in us.  Hebrews 10:25 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. (KJV)
