Ephesians 4:23 23 to be made new in the attitude of your minds; (NIV)

We, humans, like to think what we know is right.  We resist change of thought.  The things we’ve been taught in the past that we’ve accepted as truth hold us fast.  So fast, we don’t allow our mind to be open to new things or to correcting the old thoughts we hold so tight.  When we accept Jesus into our hearts, minds and lives, He, through the infilling of His Holy Spirit, gives us access to His mind.  We have at our disposal and choice the availability and ability to make new the attitude of our minds.  So often we close ourselves off in even listening to anything that might disagree with what we’ve held on to for so long.  When we read and meditate on the scriptures it is so important for us to choose to open our minds to a fresh interpretation through the Holy Spirit.  The scriptures are the living word of God.  Living because they have so many layers of meaning according to where we are in our walk and understanding of God.  If you look back at some of these older devotions you will find different interpretations of the same scripture.  These different interpretations aren’t in disagreement.  They are at different levels and needs in our walk.  Let us open ourselves to all the Holy Spirit would tell us through the written word God has provided as well as the quiet inner voice of the Holy Spirit.
