Psalms 119:105 105 Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path. (NIV)

Jesus is the Word of God.  Through the Holy Spirit God’s Word, made flesh, is now recorded on pages we can read with our eyes.  These pages light the direction of the paths we should walk while in our physical bodies on this planet we call earth.  The question is, how often do we turn on the lamp?  How long do we allow the lamp to stay on when we turn it on?  Do we only turn on the lamp on Sunday when we go to church?  Maybe we turn it on when we are facing a problem.  If we want our path in light rather than to stumble around in the dark, we must turn on the lamp each and every day.  We must leave the lamp on long enough to understand our path for the day.  Just reading one verse or browsing through a devotion isn’t enough light to carry us through a day.  Let us turn on the lamp God has provided for us.  Let us let it shine long and bright.  Let us use the lamp to light the Word until the Word is deep in mind, heart and lives.
