Reconfessed

Isaiah 1:18 18 “Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet,
they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool. (NIV)

The matter is settled.  On the cross Jesus said “It is finished.”   Our sins were as scarlet because it takes blood to cover our sins.  The are now white as pure wool because our confessed sins are covered by the purity of the blood of Jesus.  We do not need nor should we confess the same sin, already confessed and forgiven, over and over.  That is a sign of a lack of trust and belief in what Jesus said and did.  Of course, if we keep repeating the same sin that is different.  But, when we choose to repeat it that means our confession was not from our heart.  When we confess we must be sure not only to accept the forgiveness of God, we must be sure to forgive ourselves and anyone else involved in our sin.  It is finished.  Let’s keep it that way.
