Divine Interruptions

Genesis 12:1 1 The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. (NIV)

God told Abram (later renamed Abraham) to go.  Go is a word of action.  Abram was to leave where he was and go to where he did not know.  He was to leave the past and actively walk to the future.  He didn’t know the future, He only knew God said go and He would guide and show him.  God also tells us to go.  Each day is a new day given us by God.  Each day we are to go.  We don’t really know what the day might hold but, God has given us a new day and wants us to go use it for Him and for His glory.  Our question we must consider is are we so determined to follow through in the plans we have made for the day that we turn our ears of to any changes God might want us to make in the day?  Let us always be open to divine interruptions to our own plans.  Let us always be willing to go wherever God would send us, even though we might know where that is headed.  Like Abram, walking with God always leads to the Promised Land.
