Jeremiah 29:11 11 For I know the plans I have for you” — this is the Lord’s declaration — “plans for your welfare, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. (NIV)

We continually and always have a future.  Whether it be on this earth or in the very Presence of God, we have a future.  God promises our future has been planned by Him.  It is for our welfare and we can have hope in it.  What we have in our conscious is now.  We don’t know the next minute for sure.  We do know the next minute and all our minutes are in God’s hands and have been planned by Him.  Our job is to constantly listen to Him.  We tend, in our sinful nature, to make our plans according to our own thinking and desires.  Our desire is to be in Him.  Yes, we can make plans but as we make them, let is do so in prayer, asking Him to reveal to us our next step.  He won’t make the step for us but will guide us in what direction and when to place our foot.  How wonderful it is to know He is in charge and, as long as we listen and respond, our future is not only for our welfare but for His glory.
