Ephesians 4:26 26 “In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, (NIV)

Attending a patient’s family just after the patient had died, it is so sad to hear them say how guilty they feel.  They never made piece.  The relationship was troubled by unresolved anger.  Now it seemed the anger was about trivial things.  God gives us so much wisdom in the scriptures.  Here He tells us not to let the sun set without resolving our anger.  None of us knows if we will take the next breath.  None of us knows if our loved ones will take their next breath.  This is not to put fear in us.  This is to help us understand that we are to live in love, not anger.  We are each unique.  That means we can’t always agree on the same viewpoint.  We need to respect the right to disagree without thinking it makes one of us less than the other.  Let us be quick to put a check on our anger.  When we feel anger arising, let us be quick to choose to forgive and accept differences of opinions.  Let us never keep ourselves in a place where we can be overcome with regret.
