Our Source

Ephesians 3:16-19 16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God (NIV)a

I was watching some of my family in the swimming pool.  They were sitting in floatable chairs around a floatable table playing a card game.  They tended to be distracted as to where they were and kept floating away from the table.  So often we tend to float away from our Source, faith in Jesus Christ, because we get so distracted in what we are doing we forget to keep our focus on our Source.  God has provided us several ways to help us keep focus.  We have the written word, the Holy Bible, available for us to read, meditate and memorize getting it deep into our minds and hearts.  We have the fellowship with other believers to encourage us in our walk.  We have the power of prayer to communicate with our Source and we have the Holy Spirit speaking to us any time we are willing to listen.  Our problem is we tend to pay more attention to where our physical eyes might wander.  Let us make full use of all the helps God has provided for us to keep focus on where we are staying attached fully to our Source, Jesus Christ.
