Ephesians 1:11 11 In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, (NIV)

So many misinterpret this verse about predestined as meaning there is no freedom of will.  God predetermined from the beginning who would be born and the path He had for each one to walk.  We have freedom of choice to follow the path God chose for us or to go our own way.  When we choose to go our own way, we suffer the consequences and miss out on the blessings God predestined for us.  Adam and Eve were predestined to walk a perfect life in the company of God.  They chose to go their own way.  We cannot condemn them as we choose to go our own way, sometimes many times in one day.  How do we know the way God predestined for us?  We know through the study of the written word, the Holy Bible and through our conversations with God the Father through the Holy Spirit.  Our question is, are we taking advantage of all the help God has available for us or are we choosing to do it on our own?
