Every Situation

Philippians 4:6 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. (NIV)

Sometimes we pray as if we are anxious.  We beg, plead and go on and on petitioning God for something.  We are anxious.  When we are anxious we are not trusting God.  We are to lift up every situation to Him in an attitude of thanksgiving, not anxiously.  When we lift situations up before God in an attitude of thankfulness we are confirming we know He hears us and we know He is in control of everything that touches us and our situation.  We don’t need to plead with God.  He loves us.  We only need to lift our cares and concerns up before His throne of grace and thank Him for hearing us and for answering us in the way that is for our best and for His glory.  Let us choose trust and thankfulness as we pray rather than anxious pleading.  Let us also remember to lift up every situation, not depend on our own wisdom and abilities to solve situations.  All things are under His eyes and His loving hands.
