Be All We Can Be

Jeremiah 29:11-13 11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. (NIV)

There is a slogan by the Army that says, “Be all you can be…”  This is what God has planned for us.  He wants us to be all we can be in and through Him.  When we come to Him, calling on Him in prayer, He promises to listen to us.  When we seek Him, HE promises we will find Him.  There is a condition.  We must seek Him with all our heart.  One of my favorite Psalms is Psalm 24.  It starts, As a deer pants for the water so my soul longs after Thee.  You alone are my hearts desire and I long to worship Thee.  We must ask if we really desire to seek God.  God wants our worship.  Do we worship Him?  We worship by praising Him and thanking Him for Who He is and what He does.  As we worship our desire for Him grows.  As our desire grows, the infilling of His Holy Spirit grows within us enabling us to truly be all we can be in and through God.  Let us worship and in doing so prosper in the love of God.
