Speak Aloud

Matthew 20:32 32 Jesus stopped, called them, and said, “What do you want Me to do for you?” (NIV)

Jesus knew what those 2 blind men wanted but He made them say what it was they wanted.  God wants us to make all our request known not only to Him (He knows what is in our thoughts even before we do.) but to us as well.  When we think we want or need something and give it oral expression we sometimes find that isn’t what we really want or need.  We’ve all experienced buying an item we thought we wanted but, after we bought it we wondered why we bought it.  Our thoughts can be very irrational at times.  When we speak them out to God, we are haring them ourselves.  I’ve been told I’m a person of few words.  I know I’m quiet.  I have to continually remind myself to speak aloud to God so I can hear what I’m saying.  Yes, there are times to pray silently through our thought process but we mustn’t neglect our voices.  God created our voice and He wants to hear our voices along with our need to hear what we are really asking.  Let us speak aloud telling God what it is we think we want or need.
