Wedding Clothes

Matthew 22:12 12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. (NIV)

Those who believe in Jesus, have accepted Him into their hearts, minds and lives and strive to live in obedience to Him are known as the Bride of Christ.  The Father is preparing a wedding feast for the day the collective Bride of Christ assembles for the feast in heaven.  But all must be wearing their wedding garments.  What is the wedding garment?  It is the righteousness of Jesus Christ.  Anyone not covered in His blood and righteousness will be throne out of heaven (read the next verses in your Bible.)  If you haven’t been robed in the wedding clothes I encourage you to open your heart and mind to God the Father through His Son, His Word, Jesus the Christ Who left His Father and came to earth as a baby to demonstrate the Father’s love and to take our place on the cross, shedding His own blood so we would be forgiven for all our sins and be able to be adopted into God’s family.  Just a few simple words are needed, “Father, thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus, I invite Jesus into my heart, mind and life.  I ask You to forgive my sins and fill me with Your Holy Spirit that I might where the wedding clothes of His blood and righteousness and walk in His way.  Thank You.”  If you have said this or something like it you can be assured God has heard and answered you.  As you read the Bible and learn more of Him you will grow in grace, knowledge and understanding.
