Answers Unrecognized

Romans 11:33 33 Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God!  How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! (NIV)

God answers all prayers raised from clean hearts; hearts that are free from unconfessed sin and unforgiveness.  The problem is we are looking for answers that conform to our own thoughts of what they should be.  We can’t, in our finite and normally self-seeking minds, understand the judgments and paths of God.  We can choose to trust or choose not to trust.  God has proved His love and His provision for us over centuries.  When we don’t think a prayer is being answered, we must do a few things.  First we must be sure we have no unconfessed sin.  We must be sure we have no unforgiveness in our hearts.  We must truthfully look at our prayer request.  Are we asking for something within the will of God or asking for something for a selfish or covet desire.  If all these conditions stand according to the precepts of God, it might be we just don’t recognize the answer.  Then we need ask the Holy Spirit to show us in what way God has answered our prayer.  God is always faithful.  It is us who are distracted from our faithfulness.
