Each Important

John 21:22 22 Jesus answered, “If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you? You must follow me.” (NIV)

Many times as I look at someone else’s ministry, what they are doing and how they are serving our God, I feel so inadequate.  I feel like I am letting God down.  I’m not doing enough.  Most interpret the above verse just to mean giving our physical lives for God.  It also applies to our ministry.  God has different plans for each and every one of His children.  We are all to minister, to serve Him, but in very different ways.  No one ministry is more important than any other.   Someone called to preach to thousands is no important to God then someone called to speak to just one person.  God seldom shows us the ripples that come from our ministry.  He knows we would either be too prideful or think to little of what He has designed to work through us for His glory.  When we see someone in a very public ministry, a ministry which appears to really be on fire for God, let us remember each and every ministry that brings glory to God is equally important and on fire.  If any ministry is more important than others, it would be the ministry of prayer for prayer is the weapon God has given us to defeat the evil in this world and the tool to connect to God’s wisdom and power.  Whatever God is having us do, whatever He is doing through us, let’s praise and thank Him for His allowing us to join with Him in His work for His glory.
