To

Romans 6:11 11 In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. (NIV)

The definition of the word “to” by Webster is —used to indicate the place, person, or thing that someone or something moves toward. —used to indicate the place where someone participates in a particular activity.  Paul writes in Romans that, as a human we navigate to sin but, after we come to Jesus Christ we change the direction we head from sin to God.  Our goal is to move closer and closer to God.  We do this through reading and meditating on His written word, the Holy Bible and through conversations (prayer) with Him.  In and of our own strength we can’t do this.  God knows that and has given us the Holy Spirit to live in us for direction and strength to continue our heading to God.  Our aim in everything we do, read, say and hear should be to help us continue to aim in the direction to God.  We must review our activities and see what direction they are leading us “to” – to sin or to God.
