Numbers 9:1 1 The Lord spoke to Moses in the Desert of Sinai in the first month of the second year after they came out of Egypt. He said, 9niv0

As we read through the books of Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy we see not only how often God spoke to Moses but also how very specific God was in His instructions.  He not only told Moses what they were to do, He also told them exactly how to do it.  God is still very specific with us.  He speaks to us not only through the written word, the Holy Bible, but also through His Holy Spirit.  Our problem is we listen fast instead of slow.  We hear the first few words and jump in thinking we know the how and why.  We need to learn to listen slow.  We need to hear all God has to say before we jump in and carry out what we think He is saying.  I know most of us don’t like to read the instructions books but that can get us into trouble.  I recently bought a new CD player.  I glanced at the instruction book and put it aside.  The CD player looked similar to the one I had.  However, the buttons had different purposes and the initials or designs on them meant different things.  After trying all the buttons to the wrong effect, I finally looked at the instruction manual.  Our life would be so much easier and much more effective for the glory of God if we would just slow down and read and listen to all the instructions.
