John 14:2 2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? (NIV)

We all seek for what we consider to be our place.  We want our place of belonging.  Some have one place they will sit in church.  If someone else sits there, some will ask them to move, they are so tied to that particular place.  We think we are defined by our place.  We belong to various organizations to have a place that is ours.  We seek reserved parking places with our names on it.  We want our place to show others it is our place, we are important.  We tend to forget this world is not our place.  We are merely traveling through, hopefully letting God do some work here through us, until we get to our place Jesus is preparing for us.  He has our place.  We belong to God, not things or people of this world.  Let us not be concerned with “finding our place” on this earth and look forward to our goal of our place with God.  We are important to Him and that’s all that counts.
