Psalms 100:2 2 Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. (NIV)

Most people don’t seem to know the meaning of worship.  The do manage to worship their favorite sports star.  Just watch and listen to them as they cheer their star on to success.  The also manage to worship their favorite popular singer.  The cry with ecstasy at the concerts.  But look at the people in a church service.  They look bored and distracted.  We are to worship God throughout each and every day.  Worship is more than singing though singing can be a very iatrical part of worship.  Worship is having no one or anything else in our mind and thoughts than God.  We are totally enwrapped in Him.  We are expressing our wonder, love and thankfulness to Him.  This can be done with words or song.  But it must be done totally without distracting thoughts.  God desires our worship.  He wants us to take time to totally be with and in Him.  Corporate worship with others is good but we mustn’t neglect the one on One time of worship.  Let us take time each and every day to focus on God and express our love and thanks to Him, praising Him for Who He is.
