Acts 4:32 32 All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had. *NIV)

We have to wonder what made such a change in the believers.  When they were walking with Jesus they were vieing for position.  Two of them even had their mother try to have Jesus promise they would be seated on either side of Him.  In our human state we are very jealous about our position with others.  We want to be the most important and the best.  So, what changed these believers to become one in heart and mind?  They were now filled with the Holy Spirit.  Without the Holy Spirit we don’t have the power or ability to love others in the way Jesus commanded.  We always want to be out first.  Our problem, after we have received the Holy Spirit, is allowing Him to work His way within our hearts and minds.  Our old nature is very comfortable.  Our trust level is not where it should be.  We tend to think if we don’t watch out for ourselves, what we think we want and need, no one else will.  We forget God promised us He would provide for all our needs.  This promise should free us to allow God provide for the needs of others through us.  We are here as His hands and feet.  Let us allow the Holy Spirit to enable us to truly love and care for those around us.  Let us be in one heart and mind with other believers that life is about God and His love.
