Breath of God

2 Timothy 3:16-17 16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. (NIV)

We can go a few weeks without food.  We can go a few days without water.  We can’t go but a few minutes without breathing air.  So many professing Christians go days, some even weeks without spiritual air.  God breathed His air into scripture.  We need to breathe in the God-breathed scripture every day.  Without breathing in the air of God we aren’t equipped for any good work.  Without breathing in the air of God our spirits will die.  This is why so many of these devotions state how very important it is for us to read, study and meditate on the Word of God, the Holy Bible.  It is more than food for us.  It is the very breath of God needed to sustain our spiritual lives.
