Isaiah 43:18-19  “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.19 See, I am doing a new thing!  Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?  I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland (NIV)

Many people have trouble with change.  So often in our churches we hear, we’ve never done it that way. Or maybe, we always do it this way.  God calls Himself I AM.  Am is a present tense word.  God never calls Himself, I Was or I will be.  God is God now.  We are to live in the now, not in the past nor in the future.  God wants us to be open to new ways and new things.  He wants us to flow with the Holy Spirit.  We are not to grieve the Holy Spirit and refusing to flow with Him is grievous.  We put God’s power in a box by our resistance to new ways of doing things.  It may hurt for awhile but let us free our thinking and be willing to live a new adventure by moving with the Holy Spirit, even when He leads us a way we’ve never gone before.  Let us let Him do a new thing in us each and every day as we grow more One and more intimate with Him.
