Psalms 1:2 2 but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night  (NIV)

The psalmist is describing someone who delights in the law of the Lord; the person who meditates on God’s written word, the Holy Bible, day and night.  When we read the entire psalm we find that person is blessed.  We must ask ourselves, do we really delight in reading and meditating on the scriptures?  Does reading a meditating on the scriptures bring us joy?  The psalmist goes on to say that person is fruitful – productive.  He also says that person is prosperous in all he does.  Prosperous doesn’t refer to money but to success in accomplishments.  When we find we’re not productive in God’s Kingdom, the things we do don’t end in success, we must check our relationship to God’s written word.  Are we not reading and meditating on it with a feeling of thankfulness?  Has the Holy Bible lost its influence on our lives, what we think, say and do?  Let us delight in the Words God has given us and meditate on them daily.
