Justify Ourselves

Job 40:8 8 “Would you discredit my justice?  Would you condemn me to justify yourself? (NIV)

There is a movement on to change the commands in the Bible along with definitions of some of the words.  Mankind regards their intelligence as being greater than God.  Mankind says times have changed and our rules must change with the times.  God says He never changes.  Neither do His commands.  In our effort to change God’s commands and change the definitions of the words in the Bible we are saying we are more intelligent and knowledgeable than God, Who created all that was, is or will ever be.  We do this to justify our changing things to our selfish and sinful desires.  We discredit all God is in doing this.  Let us learn the lesson of Job, who, after arguing his own point, had nothing left but agree with God Who is the source of all life.
