Exalting Together

Psalms 34:3  Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt his name together. (NIV)

We’ve all heard people who say they are Christians but they don’t need to go to church.  They say they can worship by themselves.  Yes, we can worship by ourselves but we are told to exalt God together.  That means we must gather with others to exalt God.  As I sit in church and look around, I hear words of praise coming from the mouths of others but their faces look glum.  I can’t understand how anyone can praise while looking like they’re mad or sad.  When we are exalting someone, we are praising them and saying how wonderful they are.  I don’t know about you, but I can’t do that with a sour face.  Our faces reflect the meaning behind the words we say.  As we gather together to exalt God, let us show we really mean the words of exaltation.  Let as gather together to glorify the Lord showing how much we love and mean what we say and sing in faces reflecting our love and joy He has given us.
