Hagar

Genesis 16:7 7 The angel of the Lord found Hagar near a spring in the desert; it was the spring that is beside the road to Shur. (NIV)

If you don’t remember the history of Hagar, go back and read the entire chapter.  Hagar was Sarah’s (Abraham’s wife) slave.  Sarah didn’t have enough faith to trust God’s promise of having a child so she sent Hagar into Abraham to have a child for her.  This got Sarah and all generations since into a lot of trouble.  God sees all that is happening on this earth.  He hears everything we say and knows every thought we don’t give voice to.  What God promises happens in God’s way and time.  Instead of being like Sarah and taking matters into our own hands rater than allowing God’s timing, let us choose to trust and let God.  That doesn’t mean we sit and do nothing.  That means we delve deeply into His written word, the Holy Bible, and put into action what it says along with 2-way (prayer) conversation with God for interpretation of the instructions in the Bible.  As co-heirs with God’s Son, Jesus, we have co-responsibilities to do as Jesus did on this earth.  We must actively carry out the Father’s directives.
