His Power

2 Corinthians 12:9 9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.  (NIV)

As I get older, I notice my body getting weaker.  I also notice my memory slipping just a little.  I’m so very glad for this verse.  I don’t have to figure out the answers to the problems I face.  I only need to go to scripture, the Word of God, the Holy Bible and listen to the Holy Spirit and know with total confidence that God will let me know what ever I need to know.  He always has the perfect solution for any problem.  I don’t know how to keep our nation from becoming Sodom but I do know how to lift up this nation before the throne of God and trust Him to work through His children.  All this keeps me from stress and worry.  I can choose to have complete trust and confidence in my Father.  It is in our understanding of our weakness that God can funnel His power through us.  When we don’t see His power, it is because we are mistrusting in our own imagined power.  His grace is indeed sufficient for us for His power is perfect.  Let us learn to let His power flow freely through us.
