John 16:13-14 13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. 14 He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you (NIV)

Some just thin the Holy Spirit is only for a few selected individuals or that He is just a different, no-understandable language.  The Holy Spirit is the guide we need in order to discern what is true from what is false.  He is the communicator between the Father and us.  He enables us to glorify Jesus.  Jesus tells the Holy Spirit what we need to know.  How do we learn to hear the Holy Spirit?  At first, we hear Him through the reading and meditating on the scriptures, the Holy Bible.  After we read, it is good to write down what we hear from our reading.  After we pray, it is good to write down what is in our mind after we pray.  Eventually we will see what we have written is different from the way we talk.  Gradually we become more and more familiar with how the Holy Spirits sounds to us.  By sound, I mean hearing the thoughts He speaks into our minds.  Be patient with yourself.  As it takes a baby a while to understand words, it also take us awhile to understand the Holy Spirit’s gentle whisper.
