Ahead of God’s Timing

Genesis 16:3-4 3 So after Abram had been living in Canaan ten years, Sarai his wife took her Egyptian slave Hagar and gave her to her husband to be his wife. 4 He slept with Hagar, and she conceived.  (NIV)

Just like Eve, Sarai was deceived in her understanding of what Abram told her God had said.  Just like Adam, Abram was rebellious in his lack of complete trust and obedience to what God told him.  Because of Abram’s rebellion and eagerness to go along with Sarai and sleep with Hagar we have Ishmael and from Ishmael we have Mohammed and the Islam religion.  We must take this to heart.  What we do or don’t do today can have an effect on generations to come.  It take faith and courage to really trust God at His word and not take things into our own hands because we don’t understand God’s timing.  When God speaks, God carries it through.  If we fail to do our part, God will use someone else.  Let’s not miss out on being totally on God’s side.  Let’s persevere in our trust and not try to speed things along ahead of God’s perfect timing.
